Missouri Gamma (Washington U) Participates In Three Service And Philanthropy Events

10.17.2012

mo_g_2012serviceRecently, a group of brothers from the Missouri Gamma Chapter at Washington University attended the University’s Service First event. Service First, the University’s largest annual community service project, sends students to low-income schools in the St. Louis area to volunteer. The group of Phis worked together to help clean and paint an elementary school.

Previous to their contribution at the Service First event, a large number of the brothers also attended a 5K run in honor of their classmate, Gabby Reuveni. The proceeds of the run were split between the Gabby Reuveni Memorial Fund and food banks in the Central West End.

This month, the chapter also raised money for the fight against breast cancer by creating pink shirts displaying Phi Delta Theta’s letters.  The brothers of Missouri Gamma continue to involve themselves in many service and philanthropic opportunities, both inside and outside of the Greek community.
