On October 6, 2012, 11 men of the Mississippi Beta Chapter at Mississippi State University took time out of their fall break to help out a local elementary school.
The members, accompanied by alumni Dan Watley and Sumner Davis, took part in Sudduth Elementary’s Community Build Day for its new Friendship Playground. Volunteer groups around Starkville teamed up to build the school a new playground accessible for handicap children as well as children of all ages.
Sudduth was very appreciative of all the contributions and the volunteers that made the project possible. The grand opening for the playground was Tuesday October 30th and it is now open to the public.
