The University of Nebraska Kearney recently held its annual St. Jude Up ‘til Dawn event, and the Nebraska Beta Colony showed its support. St. Jude is a children’s research hospital located in Memphis, Tennessee. The Up ’til Dawn event is structured to have people bring names and addresses of people they know and mail out letters asking for donations. Last year this event was able to raise $44,960. Sixteen Nebraska Beta Colony members were able to make it to the event, and they were able to write just under 600 letters. This was an impressive average of over 37 letters per person.
