The New Jersey Alpha Chapter at Rutgers University, along with Rutgers’ Student Life, helped raise $503,641.77 during the campus’ Dance Marathon. This is a record for the 15th annual Dance Marathon that took place on April 6-7. Dance Marathon at Rutgers University is the largest student-run philanthropy event in the state. The chapter was able to raise $6,504, which placed them 16th out of 84 participating organizations and was 4th overall out of all fraternities. All proceeds from Dance Marathon go to benefit the Embrace Kids Foundation that helps support the quality of life and is focused on relieving the emotional, spiritual and financial concerns of the families of children who have cancer.
