This past Friday, the brothers of Ohio Epsilon at the University of Akron held their annual Buy-A-Phi fundraising event. The chapter auctioned off roughly 30 brothers, who in return, promised five hours of their time to the buyer for service or other volunteer work. The chapter also held a Chinese auction at the event that had great prizes like a Pro Football Hall of Fame basket, women’s jewelry and gift cards for local restaurants. There were over 250 people in attendance at the event, and the chapter was able to raise $7,100 to benefit a local ALS family that the chapter has adopted as well as The ALS Association.
