With a switch to the new 4-4 plan at Monmouth College, the brothers of Illinois Gamma kicked into gear as they adjusted to the new academic format. Requirements were added and/or taken off certain majors, making the switch to the new plan a rather difficult one.
Since the chapter’s re-founding nearly 5 years ago, Illinois Gamma has constantly competed with Sigma Phi Epsilon for the number one spot in academics. During the fall semester, Illinois Gamma finished with a 3.134 overall GPA, placing the chapter first amongst the five other fraternities on campus: Sigma Phi Epsilon, Alpha Tau Omega, Phi Gamma Delta, and Zeta Beta Tau. This spring, Illinois Gamma ranked number one once again with a 3.168 overall GPA.
