The Mississippi Beta Chapter at Mississippi State University is proud to announce that members Michael Hogan (Bond #436) and Andrew Sprecher (Bond #465) were elected to the executive offices of Student Association President and Student Association Treasurer, respectively. The Student Association is the student government organization that represents Mississippi State University’s 20,365 students.
“I am proud to not only be representing Mississippi State University but also representing Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. I sincerely believe that this chapter was a solid factor in my election and I am excited to represent our Fraternity throughout this term,” Hogan said.
Speaking about his platform, Hogan noted, “I want to be a strong voice for out-of-state students by working to lower summer tuition rates. I am beginning work on the improvement of pep rallies, on campus concerts, and general programming throughout the University. I look forward to improving the Student Association from the inside out by focusing on the positive experience for all SA members.”
Sprecher is geared up for his new position as well. “I am honored to be able to serve the student body of MSU in such a prestigious leadership position. My success would not have been possible without the constant support I received from my fraternity brothers. While in office, I plan to maintain a balanced budget for the Student Association, and leave the organization in a better financial situation than it was in the beginning of my term,” Sprecher said.
Hogan is a junior business major from Memphis, Tenn. and is the son of Mike and Amy Hogan. Sprecher is a sophomore accounting major from Collierville, Tenn. and is the son of Steve & Deb Sprecher.
