06.21.2013

txb_busby_2013.jpgThis past semester, the brothers of Texas Beta at the University of Texas at Austin joined the Busby Foundation for their Lone Star Crawfish Festival to help fight ALS and support families who are affected by the disease.

This year’s event had Robert Earl Keen as its music headliner and local business Shoal Creek Saloon provided all-you-can-eat crawfish to the ticket holders. The 2013 event was the most successful to date as the net amount raised topped $90,000. The Lone Star Crawfish Festival is the largest one-day philanthropy event at the University of Texas and was attended by Dean of Students Soncia Reagins-Lilly. Texas Beta extends its thanks to the Busby Foundation, alumni, and all those who came to support those with Lou Gehrig’s disease.
