The Harvard Trophy is awarded to the most outstanding Phi Delt Chapter on a large campus.
Winner: Nebraska Alpha – University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Upon awards submissions, Nebraska Alpha at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln had a membership of 99 brothers, more than 40 members over the campus average. Dean’s List students are prevalent throughout the chapter, so it comes as no surprise that last spring the chapter’s GPA was among the top five of all fraternities on campus.
The brothers of Nebraska Alpha are heavily represented in professional fraternities as well as departmental and honors societies. On campus, their influence also spreads into student government, countless student organizations, the IFC and even the student newspaper.
Nebraska Alpha is very active philanthropically and in community service. Volunteering each Friday afternoon, the brothers participate in multiple community service projects including projects for soup kitchens and their local children’s museum. Last year, through their main two philanthropic events, Nebraska Alpha raised nearly $8,000 for The ALS Association.
Last year, Nebraska Alpha won five intramural championships, Homecoming and Greek Week competitions, and the Greek community’s C.B. Shultz Philanthropy Award.
