TX_Beta_2013FallPhikeiasThis fall, the Texas Beta Chapter at The University of Texas at Austin successfully recruited 34 men, making it the largest pledge class for the chapter in over 20 years. Thanks to the efforts of Brother Brandon Lutz and his Recruitment Committee, along with the continuous support of our alumni, the chapter has positioned itself for another year of exponential growth.

Building off of the successes of past semesters, Lutz moved the chapter into a more competitive playing field, competing with larger fraternities, and continuing with Texas Beta’s commitment to recruiting outstanding new members.

First off, greater effort was put into contacting men interested in fraternity life which opened up the door to meeting more men. With that, Lutz and the chapter strived to build genuine relationships with potential members before considering extending bids. Out of 110 high interest recruits, 52 bids were extended, and 34 accepted. Six of those are Phi Delt legacies.
