The University of Virginia, home to the Virginia Beta Chapter, hosted an Interfraternal Hazing Prevention Summit for all fraternities at UVA from October 11-12. Over 100 Headquarters representatives, alumni volunteers, and undergraduate members collaborated throughout the weekend to conduct a problem analysis, share best practices, and develop action plans that work towards eliminating hazing from the campus.
Representing Virginia Beta were CAB Chairman Dairus Nabors (Virginia ’07), Chapter President and IFC Member-at-Large Josh Myers, IFC Diversity, Outreach, and Inter-Greek Relations Chair Fernando Mercado-Violand, IFC Public Relations Chair Alex Trigt, and Connor Campbell. Luke Benfied (Mercer ’07), Director of Education at General Headquarters, also attended the Summit.
