11.16.2013

MOT_Homecoming13Homecoming at Northwest Missouri State University is a big celebration each year, and the Missouri Theta Chapter brought home multiple awards this year.

This year’s Homecoming occurred from October 21-27 and the theme was “Rolling Out the 90s.” The first major event of Homecoming was the Variety Show where Greek chapters came together to put on skits for the community. Missouri Theta placed third for their skit entitled “Bobby Burger,” a skit inspired by the popular 90s movie Good Burger.

On the Saturday of Homecoming, Northwest holds a parade where organizations participate in such activities as Big Float, Jalopy, Paper Mache Heads and Dancing Clowns. Missouri Theta took home first place for Paper Mache Heads, which were four heads from the popular show  South Park.

Missouri Theta had two brothers on the Homecoming court. The royalty court is comprised of five females and five males from the student body at Northwest. Chapter President Matthew Fritsch and Philanthropy Chair Dalton Pierce-Speer represented Phi Delta Theta. This was the first time Phi Delt has had two members on the royalty court.
