In October, the brothers of Ohio Epsilon at the University of Akron showed up in full force to support a well-respected alumnus Dave Budai, and his family at the Akron Area Diabetes Step Out Walk. Brother Budai’s 12 year-old granddaughter, Madison Walters, has served as the American Diabetes Association Akron Area Ambassador for the last two years.

Nearly 50 individuals from Ohio Epsilon joined Team Madi Leigh to raise funds and support the Step Out for a Cure Walk. They showed up early to help the ADA set up for the walk and then following Madi’s presentation, surprised her with a check for $1,250. Brother Budai received comments from many of the 500 or so in attendance complementing the men of Ohio Epsilon on their commitment, their mature presence and the spirit they brought to the event.
