The Oklahoma Alpha Chapter at the University of Oklahoma recently held a toy drive to support the Center for Children and Families Inc., a local organization. The chapter saw the toy drive as a great opportunity to not only help the community, but to also provide members with a stress-free distraction as finals approached.
CCFI leaders were excited and very appreciative of the hard work the members of Phi Delt put in to the drive. In less than a month, the members collected roughly 200 toys with a total value of nearly $1,000, more than doubling the amount that the organization had received prior to that point. The Phis are very proud to end the semester on such a high note and are looking forward to the drive becoming an annual event to compliment their numerous other philanthropy events on campus.
