Brother Zachary Kandel, President of Florida Alpha, has been elected to be the next Interfraternity Council President at the University of Florida. Kandel will be overseeing one of the largest Interfraternity Council’s in the country with 25 chapters and over 2,500 men.

Some of Kandel’s goals include improving campus-wide retention rates and increasing the level of service within the IFC. Furthermore, Kandel aims to work with his Executive Board and the individual chapters to create a database of best practices intended to increase the level of collaboration and progressiveness at the University of Florida. Kandel is the third Florida Alpha Phi to serve the University of Florida as IFC President since 2010. In addition to Kandel, brother Justin Shifrin will also serve on the IFC Executive Board as the Vice President of Administrative Affairs.
