On Thursday, January 23rd, the North Carolina Beta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill hosted a Habitat for Humanity benefit night that raised $3,100. With the help of a partnered sorority Chi Omega, the brothers helped execute a Breakfast For Dinner event to raise money for a spring break mission trip that will send a Habitat for Humanity crew to Costa Rica.
Burgess Robinson, a senior Phi Delt, has spearheaded partnership events with Habitat for Humanity for several years now and was very influential in making this event a success. Timothy Gallagher serves as the in-house cook and graciously made eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast and more to complete a wonderful spread for the evening. North Carolina Beta helped Habitat for Humanity surpass its initial fundraising goal of $2,500 and is proud to continue partnering with such a wonderful organization.
