The brothers of West Virginia Alpha at West Virginia University held another successful philanthropy week capping off with their 3rd annual Strikeout for ALS. Participants came out to enjoy music, food, and softball and helped raise more than $1,000 for ALS. Alpha Phi won the tournament for the second year in a row with captains Quinn Casey and Steve Katonka. Alpha Omicron Pi won the change wars piece of the event.
Philanthropy chairman Matt Vullo was ecstatic with the turnout. “It was a huge success thanks in part to the hard work put forth by all the brothers and the numerous donations from the wonderful sororities.”
To cap off the great week, West Virginia Alpha was honored with two awards at the annual WVU Greek Awards Banquet winning the outstanding recruitment award and the most improved chapter award. A great year for West Virginia Alpha!
