Indiana Gamma (Butler) Helps Promote Sexual Assault Awareness

In a week marked by a spur of sexual assault awareness across the country, the Indiana Gamma Chapter at Butler University helped spread awareness on their campus. The Stand Tall Project was started on September 13 at Butler University and has asked students at Butler one question: “What would you say to a victim of sexual assault?”

Butler’s Phi Delts submitted several individual photos of brothers holding up boards with their answers to the question. The Stand Tall Project Facebook page posted a group photo taken from the steps of the “Castle on the Corner” with the following caption: “The gentlemen of Phi Delta Theta encourages survivors to speak up. We hope that this support from the community will give survivors the support they need.” Several members of the chapter hold positions on campus that serve to inform Butler students about sexual assault.

Phi Delta Theta Indiana Gamma was also featured in the Indianapolis local news for their support of The Stand Tall Project. The video of the news story can be viewed below:
