New York Zeta (Colgate) hosted its 9th Annual Career Night and Banquet on January 9th at The University Club in New York City with 90 alumni and active brothers present. Mark Moyer ’86 of Compass Points Advisors LLC (specializing in career strategy/coaching and executive search) offered tips on effective networking strategies and how to perfect your personal brand, while Kyle Levenick ’07 (who works as the lead web designer at Sesame Workshop) described his career path since graduation and shared some BOVICE (Better Outlook Advice) on how to achieve personal satisfaction with your job. Kyle’s suggestions included: do something meaningful, have a goal, be willing to quit and fail, and get a life outside of work.
Brothers attending the event also enjoyed a buffet dinner and a networking reception where connections were made, friendships were renewed, and all we re reminded that Phi Delta Theta truly is a fraternity for life. The event was co-sponsored by the New York Zeta Alumni Corporation and the New York Zeta Fund of the Phi Delta Theta Foundation.
