At the 2015 Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values Central Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, Colorado Gamma alumnus and Chapter Advisory Board Chairman Keith Lopez received the Wilford A. Butler Outstanding Alumnus Award for his positive impact on the Greek and greater Colorado State University community. This national award recognized Brother Lopez for making a difference within his organization, the Greek community and the campus community as a whole. The award also recognized Keith for exemplifying the core values of his fraternal organization, Phi Delta Theta.
Keith truly demonstrates the belief and commitment to the interfraternal philosophy through his actions, and he has fostered positive change within the Colorado State University Greek community to advance the fraternal movement. He teaches a course for members of the fraternity and sorority community that explores rape supportive culture and gender within the fraternity and sorority experience and facilitates the first year student experience at Colorado State University through his position as the Assistant Director of Transitions in the Orientation and Transition Programs Office. Further, Brother Lopez teaches Colorado State University students how to be better leaders through the President’s Leadership Program.
