Luke Benfield, Mercer ’07, and Director of Education at General Headquarters, was recently named Assistant Executive Director for the Southeastern Interfraternity Conference (SEIFC). In this volunteer role, Brother Benfield will oversee the SEIFC awards program, as well as lead assessment and strategic planning efforts for the executive board. Luke has been a faculty member and volunteer for SEIFC since he began his career in fraternity and sorority life eight years ago.
“I am very excited to serve on the SEIFC board. The chance to mentor students and give back to this unique, IFC officer educational experience is a rewarding opportunity. On a personal note, I did my first professional presentation at SEIFC, and the Robert’s Rules workshop I present every year was where I first met my wife.”
The Southeastern Interfraternity Conference, established in 1966, is a completely student-run organization and its annual leadership academy focuses on IFC Officer education.
