This past weekend, March 6-8, 21 brothers of the Illinois Alpha Chapter participated in Dance Marathon at Northwestern University. The brothers danced for 30 hours with Northwestern’s Gamma Phi Beta chapter and raised money throughout winter quarter for the Starlight Children’s Foundation, the beneficiary of Northwestern Dance Marathon. Members of both chapters raised money by canning, sending out solicitation letters and selling baked goods on campus, among other things. Additionally, Illinois Alpha’s annual winter philanthropy, Gamma Phi Delt presents Wing Phling, raised $2,000 for the team. The brothers of Illinois Alpha are proud of their accomplishments and are honored to be the 3rd highest fundraising team in the medium-sized group.
