Todd Simmons ’17, Josh Hillegass ’18, and Colin Wilson ’18 were recently elected onto the 2016 Interfraternity Council Executive Board. Todd will serve as the President, Josh as the Vice President and Colin as the newly created Leadership Development Chairman.

Amongst many duties, Todd will oversee a community of over 500 men and 13 active fraternity chapters while managing the executive board. He is the second Phi Delt to serve as President in the past few years. Josh will have the duties of overseeing scholarship programming while working closely with each chapter to help improve the overall GPA of the fraternity community at the university. While the position is new to the board in 2016, Colin will work to educate the community on leadership and post-graduate success. He will be responsible for leadership programming, researching chapter specific leadership institutes and engaging members of all ages.

The University of Akron’s fraternity community is currently made up of 12 active chapters and 1 colony. During the past 7 years, there has been at least one Phi Delt, if not more, who has served as an executive member of the IFC executive board.
