Non-existent since the late 90’s, the GHQ Intern Program is back, and Phi Delta Theta recently announced the hiring of two undergraduate Phis for the position. North Carolina Zeta’s (Campbell) Justin Holmes and Indiana Lambda’s (Southern Indiana) Cody Hike have been hired as summer interns to help execute the 2016 summer conferences (Convention & Kleberg), participate in various educational sessions, and take on various GHQ projects, all while gaining valuable professional experience in the nonprofit, association, event planning and fundraising industries.
Justin Holmes (Campbell University)
Justin Holmes is from Upper Marlboro, Maryland and attends Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. He is currently a sophomore Marketing student and a Founding Father of Phi Delta’s Theta North Carolina Zeta Chapter. Brother Holmes served as President of North Carolina Zeta and helped lead the then-colony to installation as a chapter.
“I am very excited to be working as an intern for Phi Delta Theta and to give back to a Fraternity that has helped me in so many ways. After attending PLC as a President and the Kleberg Emerging Leaders Institute as a Peer Mentor, I am really excited to help with Convention and Kleberg this Summer in Mother Oxford!”
Cody Hike (Southern Indiana University)
Cody Hike is currently a junior and a member of Phi Delta Theta’s Indiana Lambda Chapter at the University of Southern Indiana. He is a History major who plans to go to graduate school to become a Greek Advisor and eventually a Dean of Students. Within Indiana Lambda, Brother Hike has served as Historian, Brotherhood Chairman, IFC Delegate, Awards Chairman, and Phikeia Educator as well as serving as the IFC President. Cody’s favorite Phi Delt experience was leading the Southern Indiana AIDS Resource Walk with his brothers less than two months after his Uncle passed away from the disease.
“I am very excited and eager to begin this internship, and I know that it will continue to help me become the greatest version of myself!”
