Kelly Derickson has been named Editor of Phi Delta Theta’s magazine, The Scroll.
Born in Pittsburgh, then lived in Detroit, Dayton (OH), and Westerville (OH) before settling in Oxford, Kelly Derickson is a 1985 Miami University graduate. She’s married to Tim and mom to Katie Noble and Matt. Kelly earned a technical writing degree and has worked in various sectors writing and editing. In 1994, her family opened and operated a wood furniture and home décor store for 14 years. Following retail sales, she served as Executive Director of Cincinnati’s Children’s Scholarship Fund and worked with an energy consultant helping consumers navigate their choices for gas and electric in Ohio. Derickson started with the Phi Delta Theta Foundation in 2012 and transitioned to Alumni Relations and Communications Assistant in 2013.
As Editor of The Scroll, Kelly will use her relationship building strengths to assemble a team of writers and contributors to the magazine and deliver a high quality magazine that informs, engages and calls members to greater commitment.
“The Phi Delta Theta Fraternity is chock full of potential and it is my goal to share that with the Phi Delt Nation,” shares Kelly.
At the 2016 General Convention in Savannah, Georgia, outgoing editor of The Scroll Rob Pasquinucci was recognized for his tremendous service to Phi Delta Theta. Rob served in this capacity as a freelancer since 2005 and worked at GHQ full-time from 1995-1998. During Rob’s time as editor, the magazine underwent a complete layout and design overhaul, winning a number of awards within the Greek community. His passion for telling a good story was reflected in the magazine.
