British Columbia Alpha (UBC) Initiates University President, Dr. Santa J Ono

On November 17, the British Columbia Alpha Chapter initiated Dr. Santa J. Ono, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of British Columbia, as Bond Number 1508. Brother Ono is widely known throughout the academic world, having previously been the President of the University of Cincinnati, and a Senior Vice Provost of Emory University amongst many achievements.

Brother Ono was a Phikeia at the University of Chicago during his time as an undergraduate student, but he did not initiate. He is now finally a brother of the Fraternity he pledged many years ago. The British Columbia Alpha Chapter is proud of Brother Ono’s achievements, and we look forward to Brother Ono’s connection with our chapter, the Fraternity and Greek life at large.
