During the last month, brothers from the Missouri Eta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta assisted in several community service projects to benefit the St. Joseph and Missouri Western University communities.
Following winter break, brothers visited the Living Community to partake in their Winter Wonderland Dance. Missouri Eta Phis had a great time socializing and showing off their dance moves with those in the Living Community.
On February 4, chapter members took to the runway, as they volunteered for the YWCA’s Bras for a Cause. Bras for a Cause is an initiative to raise awareness for those fighting breast cancer. Brothers modeled bras that were bid on by members of the audience. This was the third year that Missouri Eta Phis have participated.
On February 12, the brothers of Phi Delt spent the afternoon cleaning and assisting at Kelly’s Pub in downtown St. Joseph. Those in attendance did great work making Kelly’s spotless and looking great!
On February 18, Missouri Eta brothers swarmed the Missouri Western campus to participate in the Great Campus Clean-Up. The Great Campus Clean-Up is an event created by the Griff’s Give Back organization. Phi Delt brothers, along with other members of the Greek community and MWSU students, took advantage of a beautiful day to clean the campus. The chapter worked primarily at Spratt Stadium, cleaning and picking up trash. The brothers even ran in to MWSU president, Dr. Vartabedian who was helping out and stopped to show appreciation for the hard work.
The brothers of Phi Delta Theta’s Missouri Eta Chapter look forward to keeping the fun going with more community-related events this semester.
