This past weekend, fourteen members of Indiana Epsilon, who are members of the Hanover College Men’s Basketball team, were victorious in the HCAC Basketball tournament. On Sunday, Hanover matched up with Transylvania University for the championship game. After a tough battle and a couple big performances by Phi Delta Theta brothers, the Hanover Basketball team won 76 – 73. This is the team’s third consecutive undisputed conference championship, winning both the regular season conference and conference tournament. With this win the Panthers are now 21-6 on the season and have received an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament. Indiana Epsilon brothers will be traveling to Wooster this weekend to match up with Wheaton in the first round. Tipoff will be at 5:30 p.m., Friday, March 1, and the winner will advance to a 7 p.m. match up on Saturday, March 2.
Brother Cam Fails was named the HCAC Tournament Most Valuable Player and was named to the all-tournament team after recording 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists during the championship game. Brother Kevin Williams continued his dominance this season going 9 for 11 in the championship game and posted 19 points and 10 rebounds. He was also named to the all tournament team for his weekend performance.
