Dear Brother:
The global pandemic that is upon us has turned our lives upside down. Most of us have never experienced anything like this in our lives. Our way of life has been transformed in a matter of weeks.
As a graduating senior, I feel for you. Your final spring semester — of taking it all in as you began to count down the days of walking to class on campus, the spring activities, formals, and graduation ceremonies — has been abruptly taken away. We are all experiencing this loss of fun and tradition with you.
What you should know is that you have a special place in our hearts. These losses will be short-lived. We know that your journey ahead is full of dreams that you will fulfill. Your path as a Phi moving forward is a bright one.
You will be joining one of the largest and most impactful group of alumni brothers that the world has ever known. Very soon, you will be making your mark on this world as a Phi who lives our values of Friendship, Sound Learning, and Rectitude. You will become pillars of your communities, leaders in your trades and professions, loving husbands, fathers, and eventually grandfathers before you know it.
Take this time to appreciate the opportunities that you have enjoyed as a scholar and Fraternity man and begin to dream about your many days ahead as a Phi leader, always striving to become the greatest version of yourself.
Please take solace and share our confidence in the fact that this short-term sacrifice will make you stronger. We are all rooting for the Class of 2020. I am so proud of all of you. May God bless you and walk with you as you make your impact on this world by making it a better place for all of us.
As always, I am proud to be a Phi and very proud to be your Brother. ONWARD!
Yours in the Bond,
Dr. Chris W. Brussalis
President of the General Council
P.S. – We have a special offer for you that we’ve never offered previous senior classes. Phi Delta Theta is collecting information via this questionnaire from our graduating seniors who have yet to secure employment. When the questionnaire closes at the end of the day on April 10, we will be packaging the information into a portfolio, sharing it with our entire alumni and parent database, and distributing it on our social networks. Our goal is to help connect many of our graduating seniors still looking for employment with others who can assist.
Hello,
My name is Michael Farkas, and I am a senior majoring in financial management and minoring in statistics at the Ohio Epsilon chapter. Graduating in May, I was involved in the interviewing process for a handful of companies. However, these companies are trying to restructure company processes due to the Coronavirus. As a result, I have not heard back from any of these companies. I am very thankful that Phi Delta Theta has provided such an opportunity, and I look forward to what lies ahead!
Kind regards,
Michael Farkas -1991-
Please include the brothers that are graduating seniors of Florida zeta!
This may I will be graduating from Colorado State University with a 3.6 GPA and a degree in Corporate Finance and Investment Analysis. I have been very involved in my chapter serving in the role of President for two terms as well as other positions such risk management. Phi Delt has given me so many opportunities to grow as a leader and make an impact on my chapter and my campus. I am currently still searching for a job and would love for an opportunity to connect with alumni.
This seems like an awesome idea!
My name is Jack Gribble, I am a senior economics major graduating form Washington College. I love maps and geography, and I am looking to enter a line of work as either a GIS analyst or an entry level urban planning position. Obviously with all the chaos going on because of COVID-19, the job search has been significantly more restricted. I am so thankful to Phi Delta Theta for willing to help graduating seniors out by connecting them with alumni in their desired career fields. I am so thankful for this organization which has helped me to grow into such a better person these past three years. Proud to be a Phi.
