83rd Biennial General Convention To Be Held July 19–22, 2021 in Pittsburgh

03.21.2021

As the world begins to reopen this summer, Phi Delta Theta is excited to help reactivate the fraternal experience safely by hosting the rescheduled 83rd Biennial Convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Convention will occur from July 19–22, 2021 at the Wyndham Grand in Downtown Pittsburgh.

A later date allows for the broadest distribution of vaccines for would-be attendees, and a larger facility provides more space to accommodate the program and ensure attendees follow proper social distancing requirements at the time of the event. All attendees must follow these protocols. Those who choose not to join the meeting in-person will be able to experience portions of the event streamed via the Fraternity’s social media accounts.

Regardless of restrictions, the General Convention will continue to commemorate Phi Delta Theta and its legislative body. The Convention will be a return to normal after a challenging year and a celebration of the hard work of our staff, volunteers, chapters, and members.

It should be noted that the 2021 Kleberg Emerging Leaders Institute will not occur in Oxford this summer, but portions of the program will occur online in August as we focus on health and safety and recruitment for the upcoming academic year. Regional leadership events will follow in the early fall.

  1. I have a room for the National Convention, Monday, July 19th for the dinner/ceremony of induction of Jack Harbaugh into sports Hall of Fame. I need to know if I’m registered for the dinner that night and the cost? Who do I pay? Another Brother Rick Kappel will be joining me.
