Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity is hiring recruitment specialists for full-time employment. Recruitment specialists are the sales and business development workforce of the Fraternity’s General Headquarters.

Recruitment specialists are responsible for the preparation and execution of establishing new or re-emerging Phi Delt chapters and the support of growth in existing chapters. Responsibilities include pre-project preparation, on-campus and virtual recruitment of founders and alumni advisers, and establishing a baseline for operations through emerging chapter education. Recruitment specialists also play a critical role in recruitment education by coaching recruitment chairmen at existing chapters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Pre-Project Preparation

  1. Work with members of the growth team to prepare logistics for upcoming expansion project assignments. Tasks include but are not limited to goal setting and planning, booking housing accommodations, making campus reservations, travel plans, technology needs, etc.
  2. Assist with the cultivation, screening, placement, and education of local or remote alumni or non-members to serve on an emerging chapter advisory board.
  3. Build working relationships with campus partners, stakeholders, and faculty. This includes but is not limited to sorority and fraternity life staff, campus or student activities staff, university executives, deans of students, admissions and registrar office staff, etc.
  4. Generate leads and build relationships with current and future students before arrival to bring awareness to Phi Delta theta coming to campus and cultivate interest for membership in the new or re-emerging chapter.


Lead Generation and Recruitment

  1. Develop and acquire lists of students who can be recruited for the emerging or re-emerging chapter. Generating leads can include seeking referrals from student organizations, campus partners, alumni, on-campus marketing outlets, social media demand creation efforts, student admissions or registrar lists, etc.
  2. Proactively communicate with student leads who may be interested in becoming Founders of the emerging or re-emerging chapter. This communication can include but is not limited to cold calls, messaging, email, social media, etc.
  3. Host a variety of in-person or virtual meetings or activities with interested students to establish a professional relationship, determine organizational fit, and create connections to other students on campus with similar values and goals.


Operations and Education

  1. Host a variety of in-person or virtual group meetings to educate Founders on various topics relevant to Phi Delta Theta’s history, general fraternity operations, philanthropic impacts, service to the campus and community.
  2. Establish the executive committee for emerging or re-emerging chapters through informing Founders of leadership opportunities, screening interested candidates, placing qualified Founders into leadership roles, and providing a base level of officer training.
  3. Assist the emerging or re-emerging chapter through the execution of operations leading up to or briefly following induction. This support includes but is not limited to brotherhood building, recruitment activities, philanthropic or service efforts, campus relations, etc.


Recruitment Coaching and Support 

  1. Execute a recruitment coaching strategy that assists chapters and emerging chapters in need of reaching or maintaining a chapter size higher than their campus average or previous year’s growth.
  2. Assist with the implementation and communication of recruitment education resources within Phi Delta Theta’s learning management systems and flagship and regional conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Leadership experience within Phi Delta Theta or other campus organizations
  • A demonstrated history of recruiting, sales, and/or marketing
  • Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills
  • Sound judgment with strong problem-solving skills
  • Servant leadership focused

Salary, Benefits, and Work Environment:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience
  • Willingness to travel and/or work remotely for the majority of the year (~8 months of the year)
  • Housing and food are covered while traveling for business purposes
  • Majority of time spent in campus environments
  • Employment performance will be assessed on an annual basis with bonus opportunities
