Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity is currently hiring for a Director of Education. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Member Development and Support and is a key member of the member development and support leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all educational programming, inclusive of in-person leadership conferences, the Pursuit of Greatness member development program, and PDT U online education programming.

  • Salary offers will be determined by the candidate’s creditable years of experience in conjunction with internal equity considerations based on the organization’s current compensation practices and market research for similar positions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide a transformational educational experience for undergraduate members grounded in the following competencies: teamwork, initiative, accountability, responsibility, resiliency, self-awareness, values, group leadership, problem-solving, and communication.
  • Apply instructional design strategies to in-person conference curriculum, including the Kleberg Emerging Leaders Institute and McKenzie Family Presidents Leadership Conference.
  • Direct all curriculum development for the PDT U online education program; this includes the Pursuit of Greatness, officer certification modules, membership education courses, and Phikeia education resources.
  • Infuse best practices in health and safety, new member education, anti-hazing, bystander intervention, sexual assault, diversity and inclusion, mental health, alcohol-free housing, and alcohol abuse prevention into educational programming.
  • Manage relevant partnerships on behalf of the organization, including the learning management system and certification providers.
  • Provide leadership to the Membership Development and Support team as a senior staff member.

Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in education, curriculum, instruction, or a related field
  • At least five years’ experience in education, or a related field.
  • A firm understanding of instructional design, student development theory, adult learning theory, assessment design, and project management.
  • Shows a curiosity for the theory and science behind online learning and user experience.
  • Excellent organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and staff development skills.
  • Background in facilitation.
  • Sound judgment when making decisions with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Servant leadership-focused.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • A moderate amount of travel that will include nights and weekends.
