Phi Delta Theta is looking to expand its communications and engagement team. Implementing new strategies that support the Fraternity’s strategic plan, Phi Delt 2030, the Director of Alumni Engagement provides strategy and leadership to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive program designed to provide meaningful opportunities for Phi Delta Theta alumni to enhance loyalty, dedication, and support for the Fraternity.

Founded at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, on December 26, 1848, Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity has 193 chapters and emerging chapters and 91 alumni clubs across the United States and Canada. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Engage alumni through consistent and positive communication (electronic, print, audio, video, social media), exceptional customer service, and meaningful in-person opportunities.
- Assist in developing engagement metrics that identify alumni who are most likely, or have the desire, to advance with the Fraternity through alumni club/First Thursdays involvement, as donors, by volunteering, or through conference faculty opportunities.
- Provide thought leadership for continued enhancement of the myPhiDelt membership portal and other technologies to allow alumni to be informed, view information important to them, and network with others.
- Lead the expansion and support of the First Thursdays with the Phis alumni engagement initiative, gathering alumni each first Thursday of the month in locations across North America.
- Develop relationships with alumni club leaders to support and increase the number of alumni clubs, their activity, and their integration with the First Thursdays with the Phis initiative.
- Enhance alumni club resources and vision.
- Manage incoming alumni club requests, help promote alumni events, and update alumni clubs and alumni club officer lists in the database and on the website.
- During Convention years, certify alumni clubs for a vote at Convention.
- Promote and increase participation in service and philanthropic opportunities for Iron Phi and Live Like Lou to individual alumni, regional and chapter groups, and alumni clubs.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance, manage, and promote the True Blue Society, the Fraternity’s alumni loyalty association, to create life-long affinity and value to membership.
- Work with the Membership Development & Support team to progress initiatives related to career development, mentorship, and networking into the Pursuit of Greatness membership development program.
- Provide vision and be a support mechanism for the alumni secretary chapter officer position, alumni relations adviser on chapter advisory boards, and house corporations while promoting solutions to enhance chapter communication to alumni that integrate General Headquarters systems and content.
- Search for and develop story content for alumni who qualify for the Road to Greatness campaign and other alumni-focused recognition initiatives.
- Refer alumni who could serve as chapter ambassadors or general prospects for Foundation campaign(s) and help promote annual giving day.
- Lead the outreach and nomination gathering for the Raymond L. Gardner Alumnus of the Year Award, given annually to the Phi Delt alumnus who has made significant contributions in three areas: Fraternity service, service to higher education, and community involvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Five years of applicable professional experience leading, executing, and supporting alumni-related engagement initiatives
- Superior customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- A visionary leader who thrives in understanding the desires of alumni and executing programs to provide value
- Demonstrated track record of initiative, innovation, and using technology to drive results
- Experience in managing projects, people, tasks, and deadlines
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in current Phi Delta Theta General Headquarters platforms including Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Slack, Adobe Creative Suite, and Asana
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional travel required
- Must be able to occasionally lift fifteen pounds
