One of 2009’s box office hits shares the inspiring story of how one Phi Delt and his family did what ought to be done.
Adapted from Michael Lewis’ 2006 true-to-life book “The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game,” the film “The Blind Side” tells the extraordinary story of an impoverished young boy (Michael Oher) who is adopted and subsequently brought up by a caring couple and became a first round draft selection of the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens.
Sean Tuohy (Ole Miss ’82), an American sports commentator and restaurateur, his wife Leigh Anne, and family are subject of the 2006 book and 2009 feature film. In The Blind Side, Tuohy is portrayed by Tim McGraw. He played college basketball at the University of Mississippi in the early 1980s, and he is best known for being the all-time assists leader in the Southeastern Conference.
