Mission & Impact
The Phi Delta Theta Foundation exists to strengthen men for life by building on the tradition of our core values: friendship, sound learning and rectitude.
Since its very humble beginnings, the Foundation has awarded more than $5 million in scholarships and fellowships to outstanding young Phis. The Foundation has also granted nearly $12 million toward the Fraternity’s premiere leadership and educational programs such as the McKenzie Family Presidents Leadership Conference, the Kleberg Emerging Leaders Institute, The Ihlenfeld University for Online Education, the Leadership Consultant Program and the Alcohol- Free Housing initiative.
Ways to Support
There are various ways to support the mission of the Phi Delta Theta Foundation. Below are our ongoing fundraising opportunities:
Phi Delt Fund
The Phi Delt Fund is an annual campaign in support of brotherhood, leadership & learning. These dollars support every member of Phi Delta Theta on his journey to become The Greatest Version of Himself. The annual campaign aims to raise $900,000 each year.
Campaign 2030: A Greater Version for Tomorrow
At the Phi Delta Theta Foundation, our mission is to serve as a vessel that enables Phis to fulfill their Phikeia Oath. As we join the Fraternity in the next phase for our organization, our goal is to ensure that the mission of the Fraternity is never deterred due to a lack of resources. After two successful campaigns, The Living Bond and Building on the Bond, the Phi Delta Theta Foundation held $26 million in net assets that allow for educational grants and scholarships. Over the next decade, we will strategically build upon these campaigns to achieve an impact of $60 million in the areas of member development, health and safety, and people support. We will achieve this by securing $31 million in new gifts by 2030: $13 million in commitments for endowment growth, $900,000 annual fund dollars each year, $5 million in innovation funds, and $4 million in realized planned gift commitments.
Living Bond Society
The Living Bond Society acknowledges those who have informed the Phi Delta Theta Foundation of a planned gift or bequest in their will. Gifts to the Phi Delta Theta Foundation are deductible for estate tax purposes. Naming the Phi Delta Theta Foundation in your will or as a beneficiary of your estate plans, or with planned gift, is an effective and lasting way to provide for the future of Phi Delta Theta. Members of the Living Bond Society are presented with a lapel pin and certificate recognizing their generosity.
