Phi Delta Theta Brothers Unite for Province Retreats

Phi Delta Theta Brothers Unite for Province Retreats

One of the most rewarding aspects of membership in Phi Delta Theta is the opportunity to connect with brothers beyond your own chapter. Province retreats serve as a powerful reminder that our brotherhood extends far beyond any single campus, bringing Phis together from across a region to engage, learn, and strengthen the bonds of Friendship, Sound Learning, and Rectitude that have defined our Fraternity for generations.

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and there is no better time to celebrate the men who give their time, wisdom, and energy to ensure Phi Delta Theta continues to thrive—not just within a single chapter, but across an entire region.

Throughout each semester, Phi Delta Theta chapters host province retreats that provide a platform for leadership development, collaboration, and strengthening the ties that make our brotherhood so special.

Michigan Phis Come Together

On March 21, undergraduates and alumni from five Michigan chapters gathered at Eastern Michigan University for a day of leadership and growth. From the opening keynote on “Courageous Leadership” to the “Michigan Chapter Showcase,” brothers demonstrated collaboration by putting our Cardinal Principles into action: strengthening Friendship across the province, engaging in Sound Learning to improve our chapters, and recommitting to the Rectitude that defines our brotherhood.

Alongside Province Presidents Michael Boulter and Patrick Rye, chapter advisory board volunteers, and guest speaker, Past President of the General Council, Mike Scarlatelli, members dove into specialized breakout sessions. Brothers explored critical areas of chapter operations, including goal setting, recruitment strategies, and member accountability, bringing back actionable ideas and a strengthened sense of statewide purpose to their home campuses.

Indiana Phis Gather at a Historic Landmark

On February 7, nearly forty undergraduate leaders representing nine chapters across four provinces gathered in downtown Indianapolis for a province retreat at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site—a fitting backdrop for a day built around leadership and legacy. Province Presidents Allen Cole, Dominic Zultanski, Andrew McGuire, and Dylan Ford led the planning and coordination, bringing together brothers with a shared focus on collaboration, accountability, and strengthening the undergraduate experience at the chapter level.

A Celebration of Our Volunteers

None of this would be possible without the dedication and support of our incredible volunteers. Thank you for making a lasting impact on the Fraternity and for continuously supporting our chapters in their pursuit of greatness.

As we celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Month, we encourage all alumni to consider how they can engage with their local chapters and province. Whether through attending a retreat, joining a chapter advisory board, or simply reaching out to undergraduate brothers, your presence matters more than you know.

“We are incredibly grateful for the dedicated volunteers who host province retreats across the US and Canada. Their commitment to Phi Delt helps us create impactful events for our members, strengthening the brotherhood in their province and shaping the future of our Fraternity.”
