About Kate

As senior director of strategic communications, Kate promotes the values of the organization to members, potential members, and stakeholders, all while supporting the communication and media strategies of Phi Delta Theta, outlined in its strategic plan Phi Delt 2030. This includes supporting the branding efforts of the Fraternity, strengthening communication amongst chapters through digital strategy, and organizing content for communication channels to engage with audiences. In addition, Kate works to create relationships with other organizations, vendors, and media professionals to complement the Fraternity’s story and continued growth.

Kate joined the Phi Delta Theta staff in May 2021, bringing with her a strong background in marketing, public relations, and communications. She is a proud graduate of Northern Kentucky University, where she earned her BA in public relations. Kate’s professional experience includes marketing for a PR firm where she helped promote Disney films in the Cincinnati market. She also completed internships in both corporate communications and at a non-profit organization, where she discovered a love for the mission-driven environment that ultimately led her to Phi Delta Theta.

Kate currently lives in West Chester, Ohio, with her husband, Mitchell, a Miami University alumnus, and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is a “dog mom” to two Norwegian Elkhounds. In her free time, she enjoys photography, traveling, and practicing yoga. Kate is also a proud member of Delta Gamma Fraternity and is active in the Cincinnati alumnae chapter.

Why did you decide to work for Phi Delta Theta?

“I believe my sorority experience helped me become who I am today. Delta Gamma was my first introduction to leadership, philanthropy, and the incredible Greek community. Without my experience, I question if I would have had the same exposure to leadership opportunities, internships, and networks that helped me to grow. My sorority experience made me passionate about this industry and helped pave the way for my upcoming professional career. By working for Phi Delta Theta, I can now pay it forward by assisting students to become the best versions of themselves while also becoming the best version of myself professionally.”
