Scherer then joined DCF’s Southern Region leadership team as the Regional Operations Manager for child protective investigations. A year later he was appointed as the Director of Family Safety and Community Services leading the Region’s child protective investigations, adult protective investigations/services, child care regulations, and the family safety program office teams overseeing a multimillion dollar annual budget.
