Bart Reuter, Wisconsin, ’94, recently joined Versiti as its chief legal and compliance officer after a twenty-year career as an associate, senior counsel, and equity partner at Foley & Lardner, LLP. At Foley, Bart served in several leadership roles, most recently as the Vice-Chair of one of its practice groups. In those leadership roles, Bart supervised the work and performance of dozens of lawyers and other professionals and developed a strong skill set in negotiation. He has been repeatedly selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and Wisconsin Super Lawyers – Rising Stars.
Bart has extended experience in regulated industries including health care and insurance. He also sits on the boards of both for profit and not for profit entities, including ELCO Life of Annity Insurance Company and the Palmer Foundation.
Born and raised in Wauwatosa, Bart is a lifelong Wisconsinite. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin Law School. Bart lives in Brookfield with his wife, Carrie, and their three sons, Baron, Slade, and Hans. Bart enjoys spending time with his family at their cottage in Green Lake; he is an avid skier (snow and water) and a rabid Badger football fan.
Bart is a longtime volunteer for Phi Delta Theta and has been attending Phi Delt conferences since 1998. He served the Wisconsin Alpha Chapter as president, house corporation board member, and served the General Fraternity as province president for the Iota North province from 2003-2010.
