On November 12, 2022, Phi Delta Theta formally inducted thirty-nine men into the Louisiana Alpha Emerging Chapter at Tulane University. The Louisiana Alpha Chapter, which originally installed in 1889, initiated nearly 1,000 members before its closure in 1966. Phi Delta Theta is proud to return to Tulane University with a group of founders who are excited to become the greatest versions of themselves.
The fall semester was very busy for Recruitment Specialist Andrew Harkins, Campbell ‘22, who met with numerous administrators, organizations, and students, to identify those who may be interested in re-establishing the Fraternity at Tulane. Through these meetings, Andrew was able to develop strong campus relationships for the chapter to build off of in the future. Phi Delta Theta believes that those selected to become founders are the best of the best on campus.
The chapter advisory board, led by Will Ramsey, LSU ‘07, continues to recruit volunteers to support the emerging chapter. Will is excited to assist the chapter on its journey to installation and beyond, however, more assistance is needed to ensure the chapter is able to reach its maximum potential. The Louisiana Alpha Emerging Chapter continues to meet weekly to build its operations and discuss future plans to reach installation. The founders are excited to bring the historic charter back to Louisiana Alpha as they become contributing members of the Tulane Greek community. Louisiana Alpha is supported by an amazing staff in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Programs office, led by Anthony Ciliberto and Kailin Deleo. Phi Delta Theta congratulates the founders of the Louisiana Alpha Emerging Chapter and looks forward to their future successes.
