Phi Delta Theta is thrilled to announce the official expansion of its New Jersey Alpha Emerging Chapter at Rutgers University, following the induction of twenty-seven exceptional young men on November 22, 2024. This event marks the culmination of a semester-long effort, led by recruitment specialist Benjamin Dorn, Monmouth ’24, to bring Phi Delta Theta’s values-driven brotherhood to the heart of one of the nation’s most prestigious universities.
The New Jersey Alpha Emerging Chapter arrives at Rutgers with an already impressive foundation of academic achievement and extracurricular involvement. Boasting the highest GPA on campus—an average of 3.4 across a diverse range of majors—the chapter’s members are leaders in every sense. From serving in key campus organizations to leading club initiatives, each member is deeply committed to not only their academic and personal success but also to contributing meaningfully to the broader Rutgers community.
As the chapter looks toward the future, its vision is clear: to set a new standard of excellence in Friendship, Sound Learning, and Rectitude. The New Jersey Alpha Emerging Chapter aims to be “an ideal example of male leadership by fostering a brotherhood built on shared values, leading by example, and holding one another accountable,” Dorn shared. With this ethos guiding their actions, the chapter is poised to become a respected force within Rutgers Greek life and a cornerstone of Phi Delta Theta’s expanding presence in New Jersey.
The expansion of Phi Delta Theta at Rutgers University is not just about adding a new chapter—it’s about creating a lasting legacy of strong, values-driven leadership that will inspire generations of men to come. Congratulations!
