Daniel Gordon (Emory ’99) serves as Chief Operating Officer for the City of Atlanta. Brother Gordon directly manages and oversees all city operating departments and related agencies including Aviation, Police, Fire, Corrections, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, Planning and Community Development, Public Works, Watershed Management, Human Resources, Procurement, Information Technology, Sustainability and Enterprise Assets.
Gordon brings over 15 years of management experience to the position. Previously as senior vice president of The Home Service Store, Gordon led a national operations optimization team. Gordon has also held positions with the Arthur M. Blank Family of Businesses and co-founded the Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers. He has previously served as the COO of Extremity Healthcare Inc. and worked for The Home Depot as a manager of operations development.
Brother Gordon also serves as ELC Committee Chair for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Trustee for Outstanding Atlanta and Executive Committee & Member for Emory University’s Board of Visitors.
