Given to the Fraternity in 1980 by Brothers James J. Nance, Ohio Wesleyan ’23 and Dr. John D. Millett, DePauw ’33, the Nance-Millett Free Enterprise Award recognizes a Phi who has made an outstanding contribution to the free enterprise system. It is presented every other year at General Convention.
Georgia Gamma’s (Mercer) Budge Huskey serves as president and chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, the iconic 109-year real estate brand. He oversees the operations supporting 3,000 offices and 88,000 independent associates in the U.S and 47 countries and territories around the world.
Prior to joining the franchise organization, Brother Huskey spent the previous 12 years in several executive positions with NRT, the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage. He began his career with his family company in the Orlando, Florida market in 1984 after earning a business degree from Mercer University and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
Well regarded in the real estate industry, Budge is a past president of the Orlando Association of Realtors where he was honored as Realtor of the Year. He currently serves as a director of the Florida and National Association of Realtors.
Brother Huskey was most recently ranked within the top 10 most powerful people in real estate according to the Swanpoel Power 200, and a top influencer by Inman.
A native Floridian, Budge now lives in New Jersey near the Coldwell Banker home office with his wife Jill of 27 years.

With that said, it remains a business where success is grounded in individual relationships based on trust.
