On March 21, Florida Iota’s Josh Bolona was elected as the University of Central Florida Student Body President. The University of Central Florida is the second largest university in the United State. Brother Bolona is a Industrial Engineering major and will graduate in May 2019. Josh and Jad Shalhoub, his campaign running partner, ran on a platform of constant student engagement, breaking down barriers, and creative problem solving. He believes that servant leadership is the true key to the success for a position of this magnitude. As Student Body President, Josh will also have the honor to serve as a Board of Trustees member.
Brother Bolona joined Phi Delta Theta in fall 2014. Within the chapter, he served as IFC delegate, was a member of various committees, attended Kleberg as a member and as a Peer Mentor, and was elected to be Warden. Throughout campus, Josh has had his hands on many projects and organizations, but he was mostly involved with the Student Government Association and the Interfraternity Council (IFC). Josh served as IFC VP, a Senator for the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Student Body Advocacy Chair, Greek Council President, President Pro Tempore, and Senate President.
