Kevin Erickson, North Dakota ’99, senior vice president and market president of Independent Bank in Longmont, CO, has been elected vice chair of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC) for 2021-22. Erickson will assume the chairmanship of GSBC for 2022-23.
Erickson, who has been a banker in Boulder County since 2001, earned a bachelor of science in finance and has an MBA from the University of Colorado Denver. Erickson has held various board positions with local nonprofits, is a board member of the YMCA of Boulder Valley, and is a current board member of the Colorado Bankers Association. In addition, he volunteers regularly with Junior Achievement, EforAll, and Broomfield Youth Basketball
Erickson is a 2005 graduate of GSBC. Upon his graduation, Erickson was on the GSBC Alumni Advisory Board and served as the Alumni Association Chair from 2009-2015. He was appointed a Trustee in 2015.
When asked if Phi Delta Theta played a role in his early years as a leader, he answered “Phi Delta Theta certainly helped shape me during my college years with the Fraternity’s guiding principles and surrounding me with brothers that were driven to succeed as well as learning to live and work together for a common good. I have very fond memories of my time at North Dakota Alpha.”
