Phi Delta Theta Fraternity is excited to welcome back the Colorado Alpha Chapter at the University of Colorado-Boulder! The Colorado Alpha Chapter began its journey on December 9, 2017 as the only recognized member of the University-affiliated IFC. Since that time, Phi Delta Theta has been joined by Beta Theta Pi and Sigma Tau Gamma. The installation activities took place on December 8, 2018, one year from the date of colonization.
On the morning of December 8, Colorado Alpha Colony members gather at the A.F.A.M. Lodge in Lafayette, Colorado for their formal initiation ceremony into the brotherhood of Phi Delta Theta. The initiation ceremony was led by General Council Treasurer Moe Stephens alongside Director of Expansion Alex Atkinson, Colony Development Specialist Tyler Wilson, Psi Province President Keith Wysocki, and local alumni from the greater Denver, Colorado area.
On the evening of December 8, the colony members, alumni, CU-Boulder administrators, GHQ representatives, friends, and family gathered at Williams Village Commons on the CU-Boulder campus for the installation ceremony of the Colorado Alpha Chapter. Presided over by General Council Treasurer Moe Stephens, the colony received its charter and official recognition of chapter status.
On December 9, Colorado Alpha brothers gathered for their first review of ritual with Colony Development Specialist Tyler Wilson. Here, Colorado Alpha was challenged to continue being the change agent they have become, to continue recruiting quality members into their organization, and to see that the University and their partner fraternal organizations see success under CU-Boulder recognition.
The newly-installed Colorado Alpha Chapter of Phi Delta Theta would like to extend a sincere thank you to members of Lafayette Lodge for letting them use their wonderful facilities, representatives of other Phi Delt chapters in attendance, alumni, GHQ representatives, University staff, and Province President Keith Wysocki for making sure that the weekend was a success and acted as a solid starting point for their future as a chapter of Phi Delta Theta.
Phi Delta Theta is extremely happy to welcome back the Colorado Alpha Chapter and looks forward to seeing their successes continue.
