Phi Delta Theta is thrilled to announce the official expansion of its Ohio Zeta Emerging Chapter at The Ohio State University, following the induction of twenty-five young men on November 25, 2024. This milestone marks the culmination of a semester-long effort led by Kurandeep Somel, Puget Sound ’24, to bring Phi Delta Theta’s values-driven brotherhood to the heart of one of the nation’s most prestigious state universities.
The Ohio Zeta Emerging Chapter arrives at The Ohio State University with an already impressive foundation of academic achievement, philanthropy, and professional development. Boasting a GPA of 3.32 across a diverse range of majors—including information security, controlled agriculture, and engineering—the members are actively contributing to campus life. From serving in key organizations to leading club initiatives and supporting ALS families in the area, these young men are driven to make a meaningful difference in their community and beyond.
As the chapter looks toward the future, its vision is clear: to set a new standard for excellence in leadership, integrity, and brotherhood. The Ohio Zeta Emerging Chapter aspires to be “a pillar across communities by fostering reputably driven men and cultivating a strong sense of belonging on campus.”
The expansion of Phi Delta Theta at The Ohio State University is not just about reestablishing a chapter—it’s about creating a lasting legacy of strong, values-driven leadership that will inspire generations to come.
