Phi Delta Theta Returns to Washington State University with Installation of Washington Gamma

On December 11, 2021, Phi Delta Theta welcomed the Washington Gamma Chapter at Washington State University back into the fold during its re-installation ceremony.

Washington Gamma was originally founded on March 12, 1918, and has initiated over 2,000 men since its founding. During the re-installation ceremony, the chapter welcomed another 40 men into the chapter.

On the evening of December 10, 2021, the men of the Washington Gamma Emerging Chapter participated in their initiation ceremony, led by General Council President Moe Stephens II, along with Fraternity volunteers and General Headquarters staff. Moe Stephens, Senior Vice President of Member Development and Support Jesse Moyer, and Chapter Support Coordinators Emily Wolfzorn and John Fenner conducted the installation ceremony the following morning. During the ceremony, Brother Stephens presented the chapter with their charter.

During the virtual presentation, Pi North Province President Nick Ryan and Washington Gamma Chapter Advisory Board Chairman Jake Riddell spoke about the importance of building a strong foundation that would benefit many men for years to come. Re-Founding Emerging Chapter Presidents Cody Schwabb and Kellen Lamey mentioned how proud they were of the work done by the brothers and of their excitement towards continued chapter growth both in numbers and in accomplishments. The men of Washington Gamma have already made a tremendous impact on the WSU community.

General Council President Moe Stephens spoke about the impact our brotherhood can have on its members and to lean on each other when things get difficult.

“My new brothers, you are the future of Phi Delta Theta. Each of you has the opportunity to do great things for your chapter and your campus. Your work ahead must be to build and strive for greatness. This effort will not be without trial as there are many challenges a college student in today’s world must face. These challenges are not meant to destroy you; rather, they are a test of your willingness to change. How will you rise up to meet it?”

Congratulations to Washington Gamma at Washington State University!
