Bob is from the Georgia Epsilon Chapter and graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1976. He is Executive Vice President and CEO Emeritus of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and the President Emeritus of the Phi Delta Theta Foundation. Bob has an MBA from Xavier University and has served on the GHQ staff for forty-four years, two years as a Chapter Consultant, and twelve years as Director of Chapter Services. He served the fraternity as CEO for thirty years and retired as only the fourth chief executive of the Fraternity on June 30, 2020. Bob continues to be an ambassador at Fraternity and interfraternity events, offering advice or assistance to the Fraternity and Foundation. Bob has been a Certified Association Executive since 1986.
Bob has been involved in interfraternity services, serving on several national boards, and has been a trustee for The ALS Association (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Bob is also a Past President of the Fraternity Executives Association and the Interfraternity Forum Conference. He has also served as President of the Oxford Jaycees, Rotary Club, the Cincinnati Society of Association Executives, and the Oxford Community Foundation. He is a board member of the the Live Like Lou Foundation and the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site in Indianapolis. Bob is also a member of the Society of the Cincinnati, has been involved with Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster, and is active in his church, St Mary in Oxford serving on the Finance Commission. He is also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, Order of Omega (Past National Board Member), and Delta Sigma Pi.
Bob’s son, Kyle (Beta Theta Pi, Eastern Kentucky University) lives and works in Oxford at Tri Health Physical Therapy, and his daughters, Lori (Delta Zeta, Ohio University) live and work in Granville, OH at Denison University and Amy (Delta Zeta, Ohio University) is a high school teacher in Greenville, SC.
Bob and his wife, Coni (Delta Zeta) reside in Oxford, Ohio.
