The Founders Day season started on a high note as the Phi Delta Theta Alumni Club of Metro Detroit gathered for an unforgettable First Thursday with the Phis event. The evening was made even more special with the presence of University of Michigan President and proud Phi Delta Theta alumnus, Santa J. Ono, serving as our keynote speaker.

President Ono, a distinguished leader in higher education, is not only a respected academic but also an outstanding ambassador for Phi Delta Theta. His reflections on his Phi Delt experience resonated deeply with the attendees, highlighting the lifelong impact of Fraternity values and the importance of leadership, service, and camaraderie.
As part of the evening’s celebrations, we had the privilege of honoring President Ono with the Distinguished Service Award, recognizing his remarkable contributions to both Phi Delta Theta and the broader educational community. His insights into the evolving landscape of higher education provided invaluable perspectives, inspiring all in attendance.

This event set the tone for an exciting Founders Day season, reinforcing the enduring bonds of brotherhood and the shared commitment to excellence that define Phi Delta Theta. Here’s to many more celebrations of our fraternity’s legacy!
